Unsung hero and savior of pop music Carly Rae Jepsen has a hit in Japan with the unspoken song of the summer “Cut To The Feeling”. Jepsen performed the song, off of her Japan exclusive release Emotion Side B+, on Japanese television yesterday. The “Run Away With Me” singer also revealed that she has been working on her new album, which is rumored to be inspired by the sounds of ABBA and Cindy Lauper, and is due early next year. Charli XCX is back with another banger after the release of her mixtape Number One Angel earlier this year. The song titled ‘Boys’ was released today with an accompanying (and very pink) music video. The song was also premiered as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record on Radio 1. As of now, “Boys” is not attached to a full length project, but a new Charli XCX record is rumored to be due early 2018. Another day, another One Direction lad making moves towards solo stardom. This time, Louis Tomlinson released his first solo effort, teaming up with hook girl of the moment Bebe Rexha and rising producer/dj Nicholas Gale, better known as Digital Farm Animals. Epic Records, home to acts such as Camila Cabello, Future and Sara Bareilles, recently added Tomlinson to their artist roster hoping to launch his debut album in the near future.
