Jul 06 Listen: Transviolet – “LA Love”

L.A. four-piece Transviolet is back with a sweet summer single titled “LA Love”. Through synth-like vocal chops and an almost melancholic tone, the band’s message reaches the ear like both a relaxed and fun tune, but also a bit nostalgic. “I wrote this song about my love/hate relationship with Los Angeles. Everyone here wants something so desperately. It’s both inspiring and alienating.” says lead singer and lyricist Sarah McTaggart. ICYMI, Transviolet will be going...more

Jul 17 Featured: Transviolet

It’s been just a couple of days since the L.A based quartet Transviolet unveiled their debut track “Girls Your Age” and it has made quite an impact among some of the most respected music blogs out there. Aside from the critical acclaim, pop princess Katy Perry praised the song’s outstanding lyrics via Twitter. The dark, alternative-pop track toys with pounding beats, layered and slightly processed vocals and glossy harmonies. The song begins with just a vocal harmony as its backbone and evolves into a massive, yet sophisticated tune by the time the final chorus hits you. “It’s complicated- coming into...more
