It seems the leaks of the day before have pushed the release of The Weeknd‘s actual single forward. Out of the blue, Beyoncé style, The Weeknd dropped a brand new song titled “The Hills,” today (May 27). As if that wasn’t exciting enough, the song did not come alone. It came with stunning visuals. The Weeknd has joined the artists who have had their songs released way ahead of planned release. Following a couple of teasers that hit the web previously, three The Weeknd songs, in full, have leaked. May 12 MMVAs – New Performers Announced!

Here in Canada, there are only a handful of award ceremonies, at least music-related ones. Outside of the JUNO Awards, which we attended earlier in the year, the next best thing is Much Music’s Video Awards. As we previously reported, Ed Sheeran’s will co-hosting this year’s award ceremony, currently scheduled for June 21, 2015. Abel, popularly known as The Weeknd, made his highly-anticipated return to the Coachella stage, day two (April 11) of the first weekend of the popular music festival. A day before taking the stage, the Toronto native took to Alexandar Wang’s official Instagram account, to share behind-the-scenes photos and a selfie to-die-for. The 2015 JUNO Awards was held at the FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton, Ontario. In attendance at the show, which was hosted by Hedley’s Jacob Hoggard of Hedley, was The Weeknd.
