She began the era with Alive, which was slated to appear on Adele’s 25 but plans changed. Alive was followed by songs Cheap Thrills and One Million Bullets. Following short social media teaser, Sia shares Reaper, a song meant for Rihanna and co-written and co-produced by Kanye West. Available now along with This Is Acting‘s pre-order, Reaper is a soaring ballad, somewhat distant from Sia’s previous works. Quite frankly, this album...more

Jun 15 VIDEO: Travis McCoy – Golden (feat. Sia)

It’s been a while since we’ve heard new material from Travis McCoy. The last lead record he released was in 2014 — “Keep On Keeping On,” which featured Panic! At The Disco’s Brendon Urie. Out of the blue on June 15, the former Gym Class Hero, McCoy released a Sia-assisted single, titled “Golden.” “Golden,” which marks the first release from McCoy’s followup to his 201o album Lazarus, was produced by Diplo and the Picard Brothers. Shortly after its audio release, the brilliant single was followed with a captivating music video. Even though Sia isn’t in the video (shocker!), it is pretty interesting as it sees McCoy...more

Jun 02 Listen: Sia – “Like A River Runs”

New Sia music is always a blessing. The Australian singer-songwriter was handpicked by Bleachers’ frontman, Jack Antonoff, to cover his new single “Like A River Runs“.  Sia’s poignant cover is part of Bleachers’ Like A River Runs EP, which includes a re-work of the original track, a live version, Sia’s version and a 15-minute audio of Antonoff’s therapy session that recounts the story behind the track. Although the original is stellar all by itself, Sia’s stripped-down version of “Like A River Runs” works perfectly with the song’s emotive lyrics. While “River” is clearly a song about deep loss, the song’s meaning can...more
