Scottish synth-pop trio duo PRIDES is back with a massive new tune! After a short break, the Scottish group released “Rome”, the huge-sounding single of their follow up to last year’s The Way Back Up. Since then, PRIDES lost a member and re-found themselves while writing this record by locking themselves up in a cabin for a week. It clearly worked because the end result is stellar. “Rome” follows PRIDES signature structure of breathy vocals and gigantic, layered hooks, but does it with a slightly darker tone. “Say. Say what you want. Say what you want me to say” sings frontman...more

Scottish synth-pop band PRIDES released a mashup of all of our favorite tracks from last year and we are in love with it. From Troye Sivan to The Weeknd to Carly Rae Jepsen, the trio meshed some of the best pop songs of 2015 into a big sounding and cohesive track. Truly impressive. In case you missed it, PRIDES also released one last year with tracks from Ryn Weaver, Ariana Grande, Nick Jonas and more. Listen to it here. “Here it is, our 2015 mixtape, packed with all our fave songs from the year that has just left, one where...more
Ready for some tasty, electro-pop jams? Meet Prides. Prides is Stewart Brock (piano, lead vocals), Callum Wiseman (guitar, piano, vocals) and Lewis Gardiner (drums). I have been following the guys of Prides since the release of their cover of Katy Perry’s “Roar” almost a year ago. This feature is way overdue as the band has been on my radar and slowly creeping into my list of favorites for a long time now. Late last year, the Scottish synth-poppers released a video under the title of “Mixtape 2014”, in which they cover hit tracks like Ariana Grande’s “One Last Time”, Ryn...more

The Scottish synth-pop band Prides (stylized PR/DES) has released a music video for their newest single “Higher Love”. The music video shows the trio, composed by Stewart Brock, Callum Wiseman and Lewis Gardiner, playing to a very much unenthused crowd full of 60-somethings or older at a bingo. Fully equipped with bouncy dance moves, pyrothecnics, and sequined jackets, Prides puts on one hell of a show. The music video was filmed at the Fairfield Working Men’s Club in Glasgow, United Kingdom. Watch the Ian Greenhill and Jordan Laird directed video below.
