Hailee Steinfeld is all grown-up in her new music video for “Starving”, her newest hit featuring Zedd and up-and-coming producing duo Grey. The visual, directed by Darren Craig (Ke$ha’s “Die Young”, Rihanna’s “What Now”), shows the 19-year old singer performing while surrounded by dancers in a dimly lit warehouse. The song has been climbing the charts, reaching both the Top 10 on iTunes and Pop Radio. Seems like a hit for Steinfeld. Watch the video below.
After several weeks of teasing and a big social media push, Hailee Steinfeld’s collaboration with Zedd and Grey is here. The track starts as a calm acoustic song, accompanied by snaps and Steinfeld’s young voice, but quickly takes a turn into a snazzy drop full of high-pitched vocal chops and heavy 808’s. “I was so much younger yesterday. I didn’t know that I was starving until I tasted you” sings Steinfeld in the chorus. It is still unclear if “Starving” will be part of Steinfeld’s debut album or a standalone song, but it sounds like she’s got an easy hit either way! “Starving”...more
Of all the lists we have had to compile, this, by far, was the toughest. Why? Narrowing the best tracks that were released in 2015 is like finding a needle in a haystack, the haystack being all of the great songs that were released this year. The saying “‘Tis the season” was applicable to the better part of this year as every single day, there was a brand new gift – in the form of music – to be unraveled. To make things less difficult (well, sorta), each Trendio editor was asked to pick five of their favorite songs born...more
We are SOOOO here for Hailee Steinfeld. With her debut single Love Myself now certified platinum, Steinfeld is poised to lift a brand new single off her recently-released HAIZ EP. Per our calculations, the single she has chosen (though yet to be officially confirmed) is “Hell Nos and Headphones,” an anthem penned for all us anti-social kids. Though the song may not be as successful as Love Myself or even Alessia Cara‘s similar effort Here, it is extremely refreshing and that makes it nothing but fantastic to us. Luckily for us, Steinfeld has shared an acoustic rendition of the song,...more
Already tired of hearing about One Direction and Justin Bieber? You are not alone. The two huge pop acts released their long-awaited studio albums today, overshadowing the likes of newcomers Alessia Cara, Hailee Steinfeld and more. Here at Trendio, we made a compilation of the hottest non-1D/Bieber tracks that were also released today. Our list includes new music by former The Cab frontman Alexander DeLeon, newcomer Brandyn Burnette, internet boy wonder Troye Sivan, actress-turned-popstar Hailee Steinfeld, and the lovely singer/songwriter Alessia Cara. Bohnes – Guns and Roses The Cab’s frontman Alexander DeLeon is finally back with a brand new project,...more
We are a few days away from the release of Hailee Steinfeld’s debut, Halz EP. Due out November 13, the four-track EP comes preceded by her Billboard-charting debut single, Love Myself. Ahead of the EP’s release, Steinfeld has shared another track from the EP. Premiereng on Elle.com earlier today is Hell Nos and Headphones, an anti-social anthem inspired by Alessia Cara’s Here. As the title suggests, Steinfeld sings about enjoying being home, with her headphones, as opposed to being out and about, partying all night long. Those of us who spend our days browsing the internet can most definitely relate...more
