Put together a bit of Christine and The Queen’s ‘Tilted’, the awkward but endearing dance moves from Drake’s ‘Hotline Bling’ plus LANY’s minimal visual elements and you get the music video for “Super Far” off of their self-titled record.
Filmed in between tour rehearsals, the Isaac Ravishankara-directed visual features Paul Jason Klein, Les Priest, and Jake Goss in matching monochromatic outfits doing a full-on choreography to the long distance love anthem.
Here’s a note from lead singer Paul Jason Klein about the making of the video.
it’s been a while since i’ve written one of these. we left home for tour in the middle of july and just got back a little over a week ago. australia, new zealand, 25 days all over asia, russia, and reading and leeds festival in the uk… everything exceeded our every expectation. if you were able to come to any of those shows, thank you for making them so incredibly special.
jake, les, and i flew back from tour and immediately went into 2 6-hour days of dance rehearsals then shot the music video the next day. it was hilarious and fun and pretty exhausting, but i’m really proud of us and proud of what we made.
we jump back into rehearsals tomorrow for our fall north american and european run. we’re bringing the 3 screens back, and i’m trying to dial in all of the visual content now. shows are starting to sell out which is the best feeling ever, but you can still get tickets at thisislany.com/tour.
2017 has been massive so far, and it’s all because of you. i hope i get to see you at a show really soon.
all the love in the world,
