Concert Review SXSW: BANKS at StubHub Live Posted by Jesus A. • March 17, 2017

Dark-pop princess BANKS headlined Thursday night of South by Southwest’s StubHub Live.

BANKS took a break from her successful European tour to make an appearance at Austin’s most popular music festival. The “Begging For Thread” singer opened her hour long set with creepy, demonic-like voices that would serve as an introduction to fan favorite “Poltergeist” off her latest album The Altar.

Accompanied by two dark figures, the songstress lead them like a cult leader, dancing side to side in synchrony. Her set included most songs off her sophomore record including lead single “Gemini Feed” and “Trainwreck”, and discography essential gems such as “Waiting Game”.
