New Releases Listen: Sam Smith – “Drowning Shadows” Posted by Staff at Trendio • November 2, 2015

Sam Smith has found a way to move us to tears once again. As if Mondays weren’t sad enough.

The 4 time grammy winner has unveiled his latest record “Drowning Shadows” ahead of the re-released of his debut album, “In The Lonely Hour: Drowning Shadows Edition.”

The track was premiered on Zane Lowe Beats 1 Radio Show this morning. While on the show, he took the time to talk about his plans for the future. The singer stated that he’s ready to take a break from music for a little while to be a “normal” 23 year old. He also took sometime to talk about the record. He stated that, “its the saddest song I’ve ever written and probably the least radio-friendly song I’ve ever written.” But let’s be real. It’s definitely the most relatable song he’s written, and the fact that it’s “not radio friendly” is not going to stop people from falling in love with it.
