The wait we never thought would be over is FINALLY over. Britney Spears’s brand new single has just arrived.
Anchored by a lot of social media hype, the Iggy Azalea-assisted single, titled “Pretty Girls” is the first taste of Britney Spears’ yet-to-be-announced ninth studio album.
The music video for the impending summer smash was filmed in April, following the announcement that Britney and Iggy will perform the single for the very first time at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards, slated for May 17 in Las Vegas.
Directed by Iggy Azalea, the music video set to be released later this month, is said to be inspired by Thelma & Louise.
“I think she’s just like the ultimate ’80s pin-up hot, cool type of girl, so I told Britney to check her out, and she was like, “Yes, I love Geena Davis!” So we based our characters on a lot of stuff like that, like Geena Davis and characters she played in a lot of her movies at that time period,” Iggy said.
Now, the moment of truth, listen to “Pretty Girls” below!
