In 2013, Kelly Rowland released an album, which she titled “Talk a Good Game.” The album came preceded by hits such as “Dirty Laundry” and “Gone,” which featured Wiz Khalifa.
Last year, Kelly welcomed a son named Titan Jewell Weatherspoon, with her manager turned husband, Tim Weatherspoon.
For a little while, she was focused on being a mother and a wife, as a result, her music career was put on a back-burner.
It is now 2015 and Kelly is back to working on her music. In an interview with HuffPost Live, which aired today, Kelly revealed she is in the process of creating new music for het yet-to-be-titled fifth studio LP.
Per her interview, this album will be uptempo and Kanye West is the only person she would like to collaboration with, that is of right now. “You will hear the happiness in the album because it is tempo. I am really tempo-driven,” she stated.
And on Kanye, here’s what she had to say: “Kanye West is literally in the center of one of my vision boards. I love how gutsy he is. I love how he just speaks his mind. [So], I am putting it out in the air. We keep seeing each other in different places, and sometimes I think I’m too shy to say something. But the next time I see him, I’ll definitely just pick his brain. I think he’s genius!”
Kelly used to be signed to Republic Records, home of Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, and more. Shortly after the release of “Talk a Good Game,” she jumped ship. With this album, she is still deciding if she wants to release it independently or with a major record label.
