The numbers are in and it is safe to say that Katy Perry is truly a queen.
Moments ago, the ratings for her Superbowl Halftime show were released and Katy managed to draw a total of a 48.2 household rating and 118.5 million viewers.
This means she broke Bruno Mars’ record last year, 115.3 million, which at the time was the most-watched halftime performance in Super Bowl history.
The performance has also had a positive impact on both Missy and Katy’s chart position on iTunes. Katy Perry’s album “Prism” returned to No. 1 in Canada last night, while the rest of her discography entered Top 20 on iTunes US.
Missy, on the other hand, has three of her old hits, which she performed (Work It, Loose Control, Get Ur Freak On) in Top 20.
Meanwhile, on twitter, Missy Elliot has not gone a tweet without sharing her joy and excitement on sharing the stage with Katy Perry last night.
“Tbh I didn’t realize how much I was missed til last night.I’m crying y’all 4give me I just can’t stop thanking God & y’all” – on tweet read. Another read: “Thank u all for the out pouring of love @ the SuperBowl! & @katyperry I’m humbly grateful for u inviting me to join u❤️”
