    Texas’ very own Solange Knowles made a one-off appearance last night at SXSW’s YouTube at Coppertank.

    Fans of the “Cranes In The Sky” songstress started lining up hours prior to the show for the chance to see their idol. The line snaked all the way around the location, a clear sign that this was not a show anyone could afford missing. As they walked into the private showcase, they were greeted with an atmospheric, avant-garde percussion performance curated by Saint Heron while they waited for Knowles’ much anticipated arrival on stage.

    Nashville is not all about country and pop newcomer PHANGS made it loud and clear at SXSW’s The Nashville House at Teller’s last evening.

    With honest 80’s inspired electro-pop tunes, similar to those of bands such as COIN and LANY, and a strong falsetto, PHANGS’ Jake Germany performed a magnetic high energy 30-minute set that represented everything that is good about the pop renaissance currrently happening in Nashville, TN.

    Chicago’s Fatimah Warner, known as Noname, officially kicked off the Music section of the South by Southwest Festival in Austin, TX last afternoon at Maggie Mae’s rooftop.

    Indie pop darling Bridgit Mendler performed her first South by Southwest show last night at Karma Lounge in Austin, Tx.

    The ex-Disney star recently relaunched her music career, getting rid of the sugar-coated, bubblegum tunes that kickstarted her career and adopting a new soulful, alternative persona.

    Francis Starlite, best known as Francis and The Lights, took the stage at the South by Southwest LEVI’S Outpost on March 14th, 2017.

    The up-and-coming electronic musician and frequent collaborator of Chance The Rapper and Bon Iver, charmed the intimate performance’s crowd with electro-pop glitchy melodies, his distinctive voice and interesting, awkward but endearing dance moves reminiscent of those of fellow pop artist Lorde.
