Following various teasers, the keenly-awaited collaboration between The Chainsmokers and Halsey has arrived and it is very much worth the wait. The track, entitled Closer, is reportedly the second single lifted off the American DJ duo’s forthcoming debut album, which is slated to be released sometime this year!
Arriving preceded by a massive hit like “Don’t Let Me Down,” Closer had big shoes to fill and it most certainly delivered, especially on the production front. Interestingly enough, Halsey doesn’t take the lead on the track, instead Andrew Taggart (1/2 of duo) contributes his vocals right more »

As the release date for Justin Bieber′s eagerly-anticipated fourth studio album Purpose approaches, the “Sorry” singer-songwriter has lifted and unleashed two brand tracks from the album.
One of the two songs, shared today (Nov. 9) on Beats1, is The Feeling, Biebs’ collaboration with tumblr user turned pop star, Halsey. The other, a song titled Love Yourself, is an impressive ode, many believe is about his past flame, Selena Gomez.
Love Yourself hears Bieber take shots at Selena Gomez the lady in question. “My mama don’t like you and she likes everyone,” he shades sings.
“Everyone thinks it’s going to be a cultural revolution” said singer/songwriter Halsey about her newest single “New Americana” earlier this year during an interview with The New York Times. The just-released music video for the track goes along perfectly with those words.
In the video, Halsey plays a Katniss Everdeen-esque rebel who refuses to conform and starts a revolution within a tight-knit community in the dystopian city of Badlands, a fictional area created by the songstress herself. The video, which was directed by Jodeb (Jon Bellion, Imagine Dragons, Tinashe), premiered on MTV earlier today.
